Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at American Custom Meats, LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems with equipment and machinery.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Tool and Equipment Management: Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Inventory Management: Order and requisition parts and materials as needed to support maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production, purchasing, and other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a food processing environment, preferably with experience working with PLC, VFD drives, and electrical systems.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Formax F26 Patty Machine Experience: Previous experience working with Formax F26 Patty Machines is highly desirable.
  • Meat Processing Experience: Two to five years of experience in a meat processing environment is preferred.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
Work Environment

The production environment is refrigerated with temperatures ranging between 30 to 50 degrees. The noise level is usually moderate to loud.
