Overview:

We are seeking a proficient Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless functionality of our operational equipment and systems. This role is crucial in maintaining the productivity of our facilities. The successful candidate will possess a combination of mechanical and electrical skills, along with a proactive and methodical approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on machinery to identify defects and troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Execute repairs on machinery, mechanical systems, and computerized controls according to blueprints, manuals, or manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Manage PLC controls, VFD drives, and various instrumentation tasks.
  • Ensure tools and testing equipment are maintained in excellent working order.
  • Oversee the accurate ordering and requisitioning of parts and materials.
  • Analyze and resolve work-related challenges, providing assistance to colleagues as needed.
  • Modify job specifications and supervise machine setup and adjustments.
  • Comply with safety regulations and report any workplace incidents promptly.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records throughout shifts.
  • Enhance maintenance standards to improve operational efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to requests via radio, email, and voice messages, addressing issues and keeping the Maintenance Manager informed.
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve equipment and quality-related challenges.
  • Support other departments and assist the Maintenance Manager as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a Food Processing environment.
  • Ability to understand and communicate instructions effectively.
  • Strong analytical abilities, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.
  • Competence in performing primary job functions.
  • Preferred experience with PLC, VFD drives, and electrical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced technician with knowledge of Formax F26 Patty Machine.
  • Two to five years of experience in Meat Processing.
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English.

Work Environment:

  • Work is conducted in a refrigerated production area with temperatures between 30 to 50 degrees.
  • Moderate to high noise levels are anticipated.
