Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Time Wellness. As a key member of our residential care team, you will provide essential support to clients with mental health needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide patient and kind assistance to all clients, promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
  2. Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to changes in the work environment, ensuring a smooth and efficient service delivery.
  3. Follow infection control guidelines at all times, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for clients and staff.
  4. Complete and forward incident reports and any other staff/risk issues immediately to the director, ensuring prompt attention to any concerns.
  5. Attend all staff meetings and mandatory in-services, staying up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in the field.
  6. Provide supervision of self-administered medications, ensuring clients receive the correct dosage and support.
  7. Oversee the implementation of daily/weekly structure for community housing clients, maintaining a positive and supportive environment.
  8. Report personal symptoms of suspected illness or contagious diseases to the director, prioritizing the health and well-being of clients and staff.
  9. Monitor and observe client behavior, documenting and counting clients as necessary, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting.
  10. End of shift reporting to the director via email, providing a clear and concise summary of the day's events.
  11. Answer calls on the company phone while on shift, responding to client and staff inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Report any medical emergencies, elopements, or ACA incidents to the director immediately, prioritizing client safety and well-being.
  13. Transport clients to outside activities, food shopping, 12-step support groups, appointments, to and from airports, and other facilities, using the company van.
  14. Orientate new clients to the facility and residential facility, completing a comprehensive housing intake packet and ensuring all documents are signed.
  15. Search new admissions' belongings to ensure no contraband is brought into the facility, and all valuables and medications are secured.
  16. Prepare residential apartments for new clients, ensuring cleanliness and a welcoming environment.
  17. Request and report any supplies needed at the facility and residential facility to the director, maintaining a well-stocked and equipped environment.
  18. Ensure all apartments are kept clean and tidy, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
  19. Follow ethical guidelines in accordance with the state of Tennessee, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  20. Keep the tech offices in a clean and neat order at all times, maintaining a clutter-free and organized workspace.
  21. Provide safety checks at apartments, reporting any risks to the director, prioritizing client safety and well-being.
  22. Provide 'random' searches at residential facilities, checking for contraband and ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  23. Monitor transitional living residential clients' curfews and ensure they are abiding by the rules, maintaining a supportive and structured environment.
  24. Be trained and confident in taking blood pressure, hand washing, and medication observation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  25. Perform other duties assigned, adapting to the changing needs of the facility and clients.
