Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior HIM Integrity Specialist to lead our HIM integrity operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring and resolving patient identity issues, duplicate medical record numbers, documentation errors, patient overlays, record amendments, and other issues related to our EMR change management protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead HIM integrity operations, including ongoing monitoring and resolution of patient identity issues, duplicate medical record numbers, documentation errors, patient overlays, record amendments, and other issues related to our EMR change management protocols.
  • Prepare and validate committee reports, identify trends, and monitor the corrective action and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Monitor the completeness and timeliness of documentation in accordance with TJC and CMS standards as part of integrity functions.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Health Information Technology preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Three years of HIM integrity experience in an acute care facility preferred.
  • Ability to lead and oversee complex integrity issues, conduct root cause analysis, assess risk level, and advise on corrective action.
  • Blend integrity responsibilities with technical operations and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical records systems, Joint Commission, and State and Federal regulations.
