Key Responsibilities:
GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking a COMSEC Custodian/Special Device Inventory Manager (OCONUS) to support our military clientele.
This role necessitates an active Secret government clearance.
Deployment will be to a designated OCONUS location.
The COMSEC Custodian/Special Device Inventory Manager is responsible for the receipt, temporary storage, and transfer of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) provided special access control devices, COMSEC equipment, and related materials. This includes training personnel from foreign military sales (FMS) host nations in the proper custodianship, safeguarding, and operation of these devices and materials, along with conducting regular inventories and inspections.
Routine Duties Include:
- Executing processes for receiving and updating the inventory database upon arrival of special access control devices and/or COMSEC equipment.
- Safeguarding and distributing special devices and COMSEC materials to designated work locations.
- Addressing obsolescence issues and facilitating repairs or disposal of equipment as necessary.
- Providing installation support and troubleshooting for systems and special devices.
- Compiling and submitting inventory reports to relevant U.S. agencies.
- Updating inventory status during COCOM meetings.
- Submitting necessary reports regarding transfers, destruction, and possession to appropriate U.S. government offices.
- Acting as a liaison between host country and controlling authorities, including various U.S. military commands and agencies.
- Coordinating with the ODC for FMS case management regarding repairs or replacements.
- Offering subject matter expertise for technical investigations related to COMSEC equipment.
- Participating in relevant training and conferences to stay informed on controlled cryptographic items and policies.
- Providing training and technical support to OCONUS personnel on the custodianship and operation of COMSEC materials.
- Maintaining awareness of new requirements or modifications to existing policies through stakeholder meetings.
- Developing a Distribution Plan to ensure strict control of keying materials.
- Ensuring compliance with U.S. DoD policies and security procedures.
- Coordinating facility and security management with COCOM and COR.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant COMSEC support or industrial security experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance with the potential to obtain a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
- Familiarity with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DoD security guidelines.
- Ability to implement and manage industrial security processes.
- Strong communication skills to maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting security briefings and investigations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Navy Radio systems and integration of Crypto systems.
- Experience with Navy C school electronics training or similar.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
