Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Dental Hygienist Educator to join our team at Mobile County Public School System. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our dental hygiene program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement instructional materials and activities that meet the needs of our students.
  • Provide instruction that is relevant to the current and future job specifications in the maintenance industry.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technical skills and industry certifications.
  • Assist in the placement of students in the healthcare industry.
  • Work with advisory committees and guidance personnel to recruit students and provide career guidance.
  • Conduct follow-up on graduates and maintain records of their placement in-field.
  • Prepare annual budgets and maintain inventory records.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a valid dental hygienist license from an accredited dental hygiene program in the State of Alabama, a minimum of five years of full-time work experience in the past seven years, and knowledge and skills pertaining to the use of dental technology, dental equipment, and dental procedures. A current CPR certification is also required.
