Job Summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Mobile, AL. The Psychologist will provide direct patient contact, including case management, psychological assessment and treatment planning, individual psychotherapy/assessment sessions, family/caregiver stress therapy sessions, and other evidenced-based treatments for serious mental illness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluations for patients with a variety of psychological disorders
  • Provide direct patient contact, including case management and individual psychotherapy/assessment sessions
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with serious mental illness

  • Likely starting base salary range: $83,844-$155,357

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non-citizen candidates*)
  • Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
  • Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA
  • Education or experience with providing care to individuals with Serious Mental Illness (Preferred)
  • Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans.
