Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at Urban Health Plan. As a key mental health professional, you will provide clinical assessments and psychotherapy in our Children and Adult Behavioral Health Divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments and clinical diagnostic assessments.
  • Provide individual psychotherapy and counseling services to children within public schools.
  • Maintain skills and knowledge in clinical theory and practice to help patients overcome dependencies, adjust to life, and make changes.
  • Provide counseling to family members to assist with understanding and supporting patients.
  • Engage in crisis intervention when necessary and refer patients or family to community resources.
  • Provide consultation to medical providers and collaborate with physicians to develop and implement treatment and intervention programs.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work required.
  • NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Familiarity with evidence-based modalities.
  • 2+ years of previous experience in a mental health clinic, hospital, behavioral health, or similar setting required.
  • Candidate should ideally possess previous experience working with substance abuse disorder populations.
