At Vail Resorts, we believe that exceptional service is at the heart of our mission, and our Culinary Supervisors play a crucial role in delivering this experience. As a Culinary Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with the Chef to lead the kitchen team, fostering a spirit of teamwork while ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing the culinary team, including recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance management
- Uphold standards for kitchen cleanliness, food preparation, safety, and sanitation in compliance with regulations
- Contribute to the development and training of menu items, including creating station playbooks
- Manage warehouse operations, including inventory control, shipping and receiving, and food waste reporting
- Address guest concerns and ensure staff accountability for Guest Experience metrics
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, including budget management and waste processing; may act as a supervisor in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required; Culinary degree or certification preferred
- ServSafe certification or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years of kitchen experience required, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- Strong teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English is required; bilingual candidates are preferred
