POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to patients and their families, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivers comprehensive nursing care in alignment with established nursing standards. (30%)
  • Aids in the setup of medical equipment and supports the physician/clinical provider during patient evaluations and treatments. (20%)
  • Gathers assessment information, prepares patients for examinations, and accurately documents clinical data in patient records. (20%)
  • Initiates diagnostic tests as instructed by the registered nurse or physician/clinical provider and reviews test results prior to physician/clinical provider evaluation. (20%)
  • Coordinates scheduling of procedures and secures necessary authorizations. (5%)
  • May administer injections or medications, collect laboratory specimens, and prepare them for analysis. (5%)
  • Undertakes additional tasks as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification from a state-approved IV course.
  • Familiarity with OASIS documentation and assessment procedures.
  • PALS or ACLS certification may be necessary depending on the specific practice area.
