Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our healthcare team at Highmark Health. As a key member of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality care to patients and families, promoting health and preventing disease under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Quality Patient Care: Perform general nursing care in accordance with nursing practice standards, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and outcomes.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: Assist the physician/clinical provider during treatment, examination, and testing of patients, maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment.
- Collect and Document Patient Information: Collect assessment data, prepare patients for examination, and document clinical information on patient records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests: Order diagnostic tests as directed by registered nurse or physician/clinical provider, gathering and interpreting results to inform patient care decisions.
- Schedule Procedures and Obtain Authorizations: Schedule procedures and obtain necessary authorizations, ensuring seamless coordination of patient care.
- Administer Medications and Collect Specimens: May give injections or medication, collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens, and prepare them for testing, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Education and Licensure: High school diploma/GED or equivalent, current state licensure as an LPN, and CPR certification.
- Experience and Certifications: 1 year healthcare experience, state-approved IV course certification, knowledge of OASIS documentation and assessment process, and PALS or ACLS certification (as required by specific area of practice).
