Body Shop Manager Opportunity at Gibbs Truck Centers - Oxnard

Gibbs Truck Centers - Oxnard, a leading multi-location dealer group in California, is seeking an experienced Body Shop Manager to lead a successful team and drive departmental productivity. Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive growth.
  • Coach, hire, train, motivate, and monitor team performance to ensure exceptional results.
  • Oversee safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide accurate quotes for paint and truck repairs.
  • Manage insurance claims and monitor progress and completion of repairs.
  • Verify the quality of completed work and prepare final billing for completed repair orders.
  • Follow up with customers and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage accounts receivables and accounts payable, working closely with the accounting team.
  • Maintain and ensure equipment is safe and used properly.
  • Facilitate technical training and send employees to relevant training classes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum High School diploma or GED required; college education preferred.
  • Knowledge of ADP/CDK or equivalent preferred.
  • Familiarity with Mitchell Paint/Body Estimating System or equivalent.
  • Experience in Body Shop and Auto Painting preferred.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of management experience in the automotive industry, with diesel experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Bilingual skills a plus.
