We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Fairview Park Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and making a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Triage and Assess Patients: You will be responsible for triaging and assessing patients of all ages presenting for emergency care, including those with life-threatening conditions.
- Administer Medications: You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders and document pertinent nursing notes to reflect changes in patient condition.
- Respond to Critical Situations: You will respond to critical situations and make care-based decisions, including coordinating and triaging incoming ambulance traffic.
- Provide Education and Support: You will educate patients regarding their medications, procedures, and treatments, providing support throughout their stay.
- Education: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Nursing, with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
- Licensure: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state in which you practice and/or hold an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
- Certifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred and required to be obtained within 12 months of hire/transfer date.
