Surgical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Unit team at Fairview Park Hospital. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning, implementing, and coordinating a treatment plan to achieve positive patient and department outcomes.
Responsibilities- Manage the efficient flow of patients, including screening, preparation for exam, providing general nursing care, and arranging or testing and admissions.
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results.
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders.
- Check rooms daily for necessary supplies.
- Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, including phone triage when needed.
- Registered Nurse with a Bachelors Degree or Associate Degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
