Job Description:

Fusion Technology is seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Security Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex electronic security systems, including Closed-Circuit Camera Systems (CCTV) and Electronic Security System (ESS) equipment and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and draw complex ESS and CCTV equipment and components, and infrastructure to support ESS, communication systems, and power systems.
  • Interpret specifications and requirements, and prepare requests for information (RFIs) when needed.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and system wiring schematics.
  • Assist project managers in planning and scheduling work packages.
  • Work closely with engineers and the project management team to modify or change designs as needed.
  • Modify, update, and prepare red-line & As-Built drawing sets.
  • Provide project status/updates to the respective project manager and team leader.
  • Utilize controlled documentation and government standards, application guides, and industry best practices to complete onsite installations at various locations, worldwide.
  • Apply existing knowledge base to rapidly obtain proficiency on newly developed components and systems.
  • Leverage manufacturer's literature and technical support to quickly develop a finished product.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure and architecture.
  • CCNA, or CompTIA Security+ recommended.
  • AutoCAD a plus.
  • Associate Level Vendor Specific Certification preferred (e.g., Intrusion Detection, CCTV or Access Control Systems).
