Mission Regional Medical Center is a 297-bed, non-profit healthcare institution that delivers both inpatient and outpatient services to the Rio Grande Valley community. With over 60 years of experience, we are recognized as one of the leading hospitals in the nation for clinical excellence across various specialties, including maternity and orthopedic care.

Key Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse will:

  • Be accountable to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services.
  • Deliver comprehensive patient care in the peri-operative environment through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients of all ages.
  • Coordinate patient care with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists.
  • Guide and supervise OR Technicians and other staff while upholding professional nursing standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.
  • Adhere to all regulations, standards, and hospital policies.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and educational in-services.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
