Holtec Decommissioning International is actively seeking a Work Coordinator (Outage) to enhance our operations at the Palisades Nuclear Plant.

The Palisades Nuclear Power Plant is on the verge of a significant milestone, potentially becoming the first nuclear facility in the U.S. to restart after entering the early stages of decommissioning. By becoming part of our organization, you will engage in a historic endeavor that is pivotal for both the industry and the nation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulates and sustains comprehensive work schedules.
  • Creates and oversees detailed testing and retesting timelines while managing resource allocation.
  • Collaborates with work group representatives to optimize resource utilization.
  • Evaluates specific work orders and provides scheduling recommendations.
  • Develops alternative schedules and conducts analyses with teams to identify the most efficient scheduling methods.
  • Recognizes supporting activities and incorporates them into the schedule.
  • Updates work management and scheduling software systems.
  • Generates reports to clarify work scope.
  • Coordinates with Operations to define tagging system boundaries.
  • Monitors progress on schedules throughout execution.
  • Performs critical path analysis for outage schedules.
  • Assists in the creation of post-work evaluations.
  • Facilitates collaboration among multiple work groups.
  • Identifies scheduling conflicts, analyzes alternatives, and proposes solutions.
  • Suggests enhancements to existing methods, procedures, and processes to improve outage activities.
  • Communicates technical information and concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Participates as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Scheduler I: Technical degree or equivalent experience in a scientific discipline related to power plant operations.
  • Scheduler II: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline.
  • Scheduler Sr: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline.
  • Outage Scheduler Sr: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related scientific discipline.

Experience:

  • Scheduler I: Minimum of 1 year in a nuclear power plant environment.
  • Scheduler II: Minimum of 3 years in a nuclear power plant environment.
  • Scheduler Sr: 4 years in a nuclear power plant environment, with 2 years in maintenance, production, or operations preferred.
  • Outage Scheduler Sr: 4 years in a nuclear power plant environment, with 2 years in maintenance or operations preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Technical knowledge of nuclear generation principles and operations.
  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in current business applications is preferred.
  • Highly desired: Expertise in Primavera P6 scheduling software.

Certifications: None required.
