About the Role

The Staff Pharmacist will be responsible for providing expert guidance on patient care programs, leading with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues. You will also motivate and inspire your Pharmacy Support Staff by maximizing their strengths, addressing development opportunities, and decreasing knowledge gaps.


Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe handling and dispensing of medications to patients.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Lead with Heart – display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues on your team.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance in all aspects of pharmacy operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients and customers.
  • Personnel Management: Motivate, inspire, and develop your Pharmacy Support Staff by balancing assignments that maximize their strengths, address development opportunities, and decrease knowledge gaps.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy by managing costs and identifying opportunities for growth.

Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License in the state in which you are employed.
  • Not on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (i.e. APhA).
  • Free of pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is $57.00-$70.00 per hour, based on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
