Job Title: Lead Mechanic

Transdev is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanic to join our team in the Dallas, TX area.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex issues with transit vehicles and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment
  • Inspect and diagnose problems on all assigned transit vehicles and equipment
  • Service and repair transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures and inspections
  • Coach and monitor the work of junior technicians
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Commercial Driving License with passenger and airbrake endorsements
  • 5+ years of experience in heavy duty transit equipment repair and maintenance
  • ASE certifications and Master Mechanic certification preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Broad understanding of mechanical systems related to transit vehicles
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and diagrams
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
