Job Summary

The Environmental Services Assistant is a key member of our team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. This role involves performing daily tasks to ensure our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that work schedules are followed and report any accidents or incidents to your supervisor.
  • Attend and participate in in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs.
  • Report burned-out light bulbs and other maintenance issues to your supervisor.
  • Assist others in lifting heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Perform day-to-day environmental services functions, including cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing surfaces.
  • Empty and sanitize ash trays daily.
  • Clean and maintain resident rooms, recreational areas, and other public spaces.
  • Discard waste and trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacles.
  • Perform isolation cleaning procedures in accordance with established infection control procedures.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to lift at least 50 pounds. You must also be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, stretch, stoop, walk, and move intermittently during working hours.
