Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality learning and teaching activities to a broad range of learners in various educational settings.
  • Teach candidates in subject areas of Mechanical Engineering, including Dynamics, Statics, Strength of Materials, Thermofluids, CAD, Graphical Engineering Communications, Quality Management, up to and including HND level.
  • Evaluate and improve teaching methods and curriculum effectiveness.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to enhance team performance and curriculum quality.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Maintain accurate records of learner attendance and achievement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Essential:
  • Qualified to HND/Degree (SCQF 8/9) or SVQ Level 4/5 in the relevant vocational area or Highest level qualification in the relevant discipline.
  • Relevant current academic experience.
  • Demonstrable experience and practiced skills following a vocational qualification.
  • Driving License as Travel will be required within Fife.
  • Desirable:
  • Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE).
  • SVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline.
  • Broad demonstrable experience of curriculum delivery.
  • Proven record of evaluative ability, to recognise areas for improvement and plan for excellence.
