Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our team at Stewart's Shops in Saratoga Springs, NY. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet of trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines, drive trains, and suspension systems to identify potential issues.
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems with diesel engines, electrical systems, and other critical components.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or replace damaged components.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and meet customer expectations.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Class A CDL or willingness to obtain preferred, but not required.
  • Refrigeration experience a plus, but not necessary.
  • Trailer experience beneficial.
  • New York state inspectors license a plus, but not required.
  • Dependable team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive lifting and standing for extended periods.
