Job Summary

GMA Construction Group is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Construction Manager to support our Project Manager and other departments in delivering a $20M ground-up Affordable Housing Multifamily project in Fort Worth, TX on schedule, within budget, and to the quality of workmanship specified.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Construction Management or a similar field and at least 2+ years of experience in construction project coordination, management, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and coordination
  • Assist Project Manager with accurate budget management (buy-out, pay applications, cost reporting, etc.)
  • Change order management
  • Manage and develop project engineers overseeing RFIs and submittals
  • Manage critical subcontractors
  • Issue resolution related to labor disputes, material deliveries, and contract administration
  • Safety and quality control management
  • Manage construction equipment
