Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Security Operations Officer with an Interim Secret Clearance and the capability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance to support KPS and our government client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The primary objective of the security officer services is to safeguard personnel, information, property, and ensure business continuity through effective detection, deterrence, observation, and reporting.
  • The security personnel will achieve this by executing the following tasks:
  • Manage access to and within the facility, including conducting safety screenings and requiring proper identification from employees and visitors.
  • Escort and monitor various personnel, particularly foreign nationals and maintenance staff, within controlled areas.
  • Enforce security and safety protocols as directed by the relevant authorities.
  • Direct and manage both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
  • Utilize emergency equipment (e.g., AED, Protective Mask) as necessary.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, providing first aid, CPR, and AED assistance, while conducting regular evaluations of response protocols.
  • Observe and report any suspicious or unsafe activities promptly, taking necessary protective actions.
  • Inspect and report on security equipment, facilities, and environmental conditions, implementing corrective measures where feasible.
  • React to incidents and emergencies, including alarm responses, while documenting evaluations for review.
  • Support emergency preparedness plans as required.
  • Contact emergency services when necessary and guide responders to incident locations.
  • Maintain accurate records and detailed reports of activities and incidents.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to produce clear and concise written and verbal reports.
  • Experience in conducting safety screenings.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Proficient in detecting and reporting security violations using all senses.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Completion of required training as per contract specifications.
  • Willingness to travel to different locations as needed.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant security experience in a government environment.
  • Possession of a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED, and HAZMAT First Responder - Awareness Level.
  • Compliance with state regulations for Unarmed Security Officers.
  • Good physical health to perform required duties effectively.
Work Environment:
This position operates primarily in an office setting with a low to moderate noise level. Standard office equipment such as computers and phones will be utilized. The role may require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, with occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
