We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Security Operations
- Respond to emergency calls and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
- Patrol hospital grounds and buildings to prevent and detect security breaches.
- Conduct investigations into security incidents and prepare reports.
- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
- Assist with escorting patients, visitors, and staff to and from hospital facilities.
- Communication
- Communicate effectively with hospital staff, patients, and visitors to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Respond to phone calls and radio communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Documentation
- Complete incident reports and other documentation as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of security incidents and activities.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum of 1-3 years of security experience required.
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Certifications
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification required.
- CPI De-Escalation Training certification required.
- IAHSS Basic Officer Certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills required.
- Ability to analyze situations and make sound judgments.
- Customer Service
- Excellent customer service skills required.
