Security Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at McLean Hospital. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide protective services to people and property, responding to routine and emergency calls for service.
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the department, including dispatch and console duties.
- Perform access control functions, including ensuring that all employees, vendors, and contractors are in possession of an authorized form of identification.
- Patrol McLean property and grounds, documenting all deficiencies and/or violations of policy.
- Provide escorts to patients, visitors, employees, and others to ensure their safety.
- Minimum of a high school diploma required.
- A strong educational background in criminal justice or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of security or related experience is preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Massachusetts Driver's License.
- Must obtain and maintain required certification in CPR/AED/First Aid, CPI De-Escalation Training, and International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Officer Certification.
