Position Summary:
We are looking for a qualified individual to fill the role of Assistant Vice President, Cyber Underwriter within our organization. This position is based in our Chicago office and is integral to our commitment to excellence in underwriting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Underwrite various professional liability products, including but not limited to Cyber Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, and Media Liability.
- Assess individual risk factors to determine appropriate capacity, attachment points, terms, and pricing.
- Foster and strengthen relationships with existing brokers while identifying and cultivating new partnerships within the Northeast region, engaging both retail and wholesale markets.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives aimed at retaining current business and generating new opportunities aligned with the risk appetite of the Sompo Pro division.
- Engage in account discussions, utilizing discretion and independent judgment in risk analysis and evaluation.
- Communicate effectively and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
Qualifications:
- Established connections within the Retail and Wholesale Network.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Professional Lines Underwriting.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
