Zurich Insurance Company Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Wholesale E&O and Cyber team. This role is dedicated to the wholesale broker channel and offers a great opportunity to work with our Professional Liability & Cyber team in Chicago.

In this position, you will underwrite and perform financial analysis across professional liability E&O and Cyber risks. Your responsibilities will include generating, underwriting, and analyzing E&O and Cyber new and renewal policies, as well as market-facing and production with wholesale brokers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite and analyze E&O and Cyber new and renewal policies
  • Market-facing and production with wholesale brokers
  • Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating manual rules
  • Work within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts and develop a pipeline of business
  • Collaborate and cross-sell with other stakeholders and lines of business within Zurich

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
  • Experience working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Underwriting experience with E&O and Cyber products
  • Established wholesale broker relationships in targeted region
  • Service-oriented and responsive
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office skills
