Job Title: Registered Nurse Per Diem

At Tucson Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post Critical Care Unit. As a Per Diem RN, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a 3:1 RN ratio.

Unit Information:

The Post Critical Care Unit is a 27-bed unit that cares for a diverse population of acutely ill patients. Our team is ACLS certified and provides care for patients with complex medical conditions, including hemodynamically unstable patients, complex diabetics, and patients requiring long-term ventilation.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates patient care planning with other disciplines utilizing the principles of the nursing process and critical thinking skills.
  • Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, and adjusts nursing care processes as necessary.
  • Notifies physicians of any unusual or unexpected events or problems requiring direct consultation.
  • Works with the interdisciplinary patient care team to implement and reinforce patient instructional needs.
  • Evaluates outcomes of patient care and adjusts nursing care processes as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program.
  • One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.
  • Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
