Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Entrepreneurship program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in entrepreneurship and be able to deliver high-quality instruction to our students.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives.
  • Make optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods.
  • Supplement and alter, where appropriate, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
  • Maintain accurate student records, grades, and other requirements.
  • Engage with students proactively and regularly in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and lead to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College.
  • Demonstrate evidence of developing and implementing teaching strategies focused on engaging online students with their learning.
  • Interact with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complying with College policies, guidelines, and expectations.
  • Maintain a safe, quality online educational environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.
Requirements
  • A qualified faculty member in the Entrepreneur Program meets the program standard with a minimum of three documented years of entrepreneurial and/or intrapreneurial experience.
  • Completion of the initial RISE training.
  • Meets one of the following:
    • Possesses an earned master's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in entrepreneurship, business administration, management, marketing, or a business-related field as appropriate to the program.
    • Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in entrepreneurship, business administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program.
    • Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
      • Professional, field-related certification (national, regional, or state).
      • Two or more additional documented years of entrepreneurial and/or intrapreneurial experience.
      • Documentation of research and publication in the field.
      • Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military.
    • Possesses an earned bachelor's degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in entrepreneurship, business administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in one of the following:
      • Professional, field-related certification (national, regional, or state).
      • Two or more additional documented years of entrepreneurial and/or intrapreneurial experience.
      • Documentation of research and publication in the field.
      • Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU's, vendor, or military.
    Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45/contact hour and a classification of Adjunct faculty.
