About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nutrition Dietitian to join our team at Ascension St. Vincent's One Nineteen. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy and evaluating the effectiveness of treatments.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients for nutritional status and provide interventions/treatments, including diet therapy, counseling, or specialized nutrition supplements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional regimens and recommend therapy adjustments as necessary.
  • Provide nutrition information to the community through public speaking, news releases, and other forms of publications.
  • Research and resolve nutrition care-related complaints and problems.
  • Assist in monitoring meals, including intake, diet compliance, and tray accuracy, while maintaining sanitation of food preparation areas.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider and Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Examiners For Dietetics and Nutritionists.
  • Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
