Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose technical issues with products, performing repairs and calibrations primarily on the shop floor.
  • Travel to client locations to identify complex technical problems and execute on-site repairs.
  • Install products at customer sites as required.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical examinations of tools to facilitate repairs through disassembly and reconstruction as necessary.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance via telephone communication.
  • Engage with customers in a professional and effective manner.
  • Interpret schematics and block diagrams to analyze and resolve issues.
  • Document product problems and resolutions in detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or technical degree is preferred.
  • Experience in field service within the automotive sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with electrical measurement and calibration techniques (e.g., voltmeters and other calibration tools).
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues (including servo motors, bearings, gearing, ball screws, and moving systems).
  • Basic understanding of PLCs and pneumatics is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with mechanical measurement and inspection tools (such as indicators, micrometers, and calipers).
  • Knowledge of fastening and assembly processes.
  • Ability to utilize basic hand tools.
  • Competence in operating a computer with Windows operating systems.
  • Comfortable working with abrasive chemicals for parts cleaning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Valid Driver's License; willingness to travel to project locations, including overnight trips.
