Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
  • Handle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Manage vendor invoices, payments, and client billing
  • Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and information
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and team members in both English and Spanish

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role (experience in the steel or trading industry is a plus)
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and other accounting software
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High level of integrity and professionalism

Education:

  • Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
