Occupational Therapy Specialist

Soliant is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Bellevue, MD. This role will involve working with students, families, and educators to enhance students' functional abilities and promote independence in daily activities.
About the PositionThis school-based Occupational Therapist position requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in occupational therapy. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments to identify areas of need related to school activities and daily living skills.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care skills, and overall participation in school activities.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure goal achievement.
- Educate families and school staff about strategies to support students' occupational therapy needs at home and in school.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to goal setting and progress reports.
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Maryland state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Passion for working with children and commitment to fostering their development and independence.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000-$90,000, depending on experience. Soliant offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
