Site Construction Manager

The Site Construction Manager will supervise and coordinate daily construction operations at Lawson Companies, Inc. This role is responsible for overseeing onsite management and supervision across various trades concurrently. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage subcontractors and the construction workflow. A leadership role is essential to guide subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, and onsite Lawson Assistant Superintendents and Field Technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the construction site operations
- Oversee onsite construction activities and coordinate daily operations.
- Skilled in interpreting Civil, Architectural, Structural, and MEP Drawings and Specifications, identifying potential conflicts, and recommending improved construction practices.
- Operate within the allocated project budget.
- Lead weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors.
- Assist in reviewing billing against completed work.
•Ensure compliance with OSHA and Environmental & Safety regulations.
3. Coordinate daily construction logistics
- Schedule material deliveries as necessary.
- Collaborate with local utilities to facilitate installations required for project completion.
- Ensure proper installation according to contract drawings, program, and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively coordinate, implement, and expedite construction schedules.
•Conduct quality inspections post-completion of work before payment is authorized.
7. Coordinate municipal and third-party inspections
- Manage all required City and third-party inspections.
- Responsible for daily reporting.
- Ensure the schedule is updated in accordance with processes.
- Accountable for creating and finalizing punch list items for project turnover.
11. Additional duties as assigned
- Collaborate with Property Management Maintenance on training, operations, and warranty work items.
- Work with the Property Management team to coordinate turnover and lease-up timelines.
- Experience managing projects valued between $8 to $30 million.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with subcontractors, residents, peers, and supervisors.
- Ability to organize and solve problems efficiently.
- Demonstrated sound judgment and self-control.
- Willingness to travel between various job sites.
- Exhibit enthusiasm, a positive attitude, trustworthiness, personal integrity, and honesty.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction; multi-family construction experience is advantageous.
- OSHA-10 certification.
- Responsible Land Disturber (Virginia RLD) certification.
Ability to bend, kneel, stretch, climb stairs and ladders, squat, and lift up to sixty (60) pounds.
