Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Tech to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilizing sterile and aseptic technique.
  • Acquire and process imaging data, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Participate in emergency services on call, providing critical care to patients as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography.
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certification (ACLS) within one year of hire.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical imaging software and equipment.
Working Environment

The work environment is clinical by nature, with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, body fluids, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Maintains Radiation safety.
