  • Work with the Director of Advancement to facilitate all aspects of the Annual Fund appeals including mailings, and electronic communications.
  • Direct communications and solicitations pertaining to the Annual Fund and the Alumni Fund.
  • Manage a portfolio of high-end annual gift donors with major gift potential.
  • Work with the Director of Advancement to create an effective strategy for this portfolio including moves management plans for key prospects.
  • Track and report relationship management activity including in-person visits, outreach, and solicitations.
  • Make direct, in-person solicitations and work with Whitehead leadership and faculty as needed to coordinate donor stewardship, cultivation and solicitation.
  • Assists with the execution of all IA events, including annual multi-day events, large receptions, and small donor gatherings and dinners, remotely held and in person.
  • Participates in regular Advancement and organization-wide meetings and develop and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with team members.

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of successful, demonstrated experience in annual fund and major gifts fundraising with a priority for those with experience working directly with alumni networks.
  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated, flexible, and able to prioritize.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Must be able to interact comfortably and productively with internal staff, vendors, volunteers, donors, and event attendees.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously with great attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Raiser's Edge is a plus.
  • Ability to travel when required for events in other cities.
