Job Summary:
Marshall Medical Center is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in the Physical Rehab Services department. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in the evaluation, treatment, and clinical activities of our patients, ensuring effective and optimum quality of care is delivered.

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Physical Therapist coordinates the evaluation, treatment, and clinical activities in the provision of physical therapy. This includes developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, conducting patient assessments, and providing education to patients and their families.
Qualifications:
Education/Licensure/Certification:
A graduate degree in Physical Therapy (PT) with a minimum of a B.S. or B.A. degree and successful completion of clinical internship requirements is required. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Board of Medical Examiners, State of California is also required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a must.
Knowledge and Skills:
One year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred. Knowledge and understanding of physical therapy procedures and techniques, as well as geriatric and general neurological rehabilitation techniques, are essential. Ability to follow directions accurately, establish effective relationships with patients and fellow employees, and assume responsibility for updating skills as required by hospital policy are also required.
Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to walk and stand for long periods, stoop, and mechanically operate wheelchair accessories repetitively throughout the day. The Physical Therapist must also be able to position and transfer dependent patients in and out of bed without assistance.
