Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in an orthopedic setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manual therapy and experience working with patients with lower back pain, shoulder pain, knee pain, chronic pain, elbow pain, and neck pain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer therapeutic exercises and physical therapy modalities according to the physical therapy plan of care
  • Implement treatment plans and adjust exercises as directed by the Physical Therapist, ensuring patient well-being is the top priority
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients to learn and improve functional activity, such as pre-ambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily living activities
  • Fit patients for, adjust, and train patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices, such as crutches, canes, walkers, and wheelchairs
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records with attention to detail

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution
  • Current California state license as Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Must have 2 years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting
  • Strong manual therapy skills and training
  • Familiarity with EMR Software (e.g., WebPT)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, fostering collaboration and respect
