We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for developing structural drawings and specifications, attending internal meetings, and preparing calculations for renovations and new construction. Additionally, they will review shop drawings and other design services during construction.
Key Responsibilities:- Structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and specialty structures, as well as pipe and civil engineering design (wastewater, sewers, etc).
- Development of structural drawings and specifications.
- Attendance at internal meetings.
- Preparation of calculations for renovations and new construction.
- Review of shop drawings and other design services during construction.
- BS Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on structural engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Knowledge of Building Codes and various design codes and references.
- Knowledge of construction drawing standards.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Attention to detail and highly organized.
- Self-starter, able to work independently and multi-task while achieving deadlines.
