Position Overview:
Olsten is actively seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive administrative support to our executive team while fostering a collaborative environment with managers and employees regarding policies, payroll, recruitment, and benefits matters.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Human Resources Specialist, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing the onboarding and offboarding processes, including job transitions and departmental changes.
  • Assisting the finance department with bi-weekly payroll to ensure accurate processing.
  • Tracking and managing Paid Time Off (PTO) and leave of absence procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Maintaining payroll and attendance systems to guarantee accurate and current employee data.
  • Leading the orientation sessions for new hires to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Coordinating all recruitment efforts, including local sourcing, college recruitment, job fairs, and interview tracking.
  • Providing additional support during various HR initiatives as needed.
  • Executing other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • An Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources-related role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and effective communication capabilities.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with presentation abilities.
  • The capacity to motivate and coach within a team environment.
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • A willingness to travel domestically as required.
