Key Responsibilities
  • Program Delivery: Organize and execute sports programs for members, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Supervision and Safety: Monitor the program area at all times, ensuring the safety and well-being of participants, and taking immediate action to address any concerns.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to members, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members, coaches, and volunteers to ensure the success of our programs.
  • Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of new sports programs, ensuring they meet the needs and interests of our members.
  • Reporting and Administration: Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with YMCA policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Prior experience working with children and adults in a sports or recreation setting.
  • Education and Training: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g., sports management, recreation, education) preferred.
  • Certifications and Training: CPR and First Aid Certification, YMCA Blood Borne Pathogens training, and Child Sexual Abuse Prevention class required.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.
