As a key member of the Finance team at Vouch, the Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in establishing and enhancing foundational accounting processes, controls, and tools necessary for future growth and scalability.
Work Environment:

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transactions associated with the general ledger, revenue recognition, financial reporting, payables, receivables, and payroll.
- Lead the monthly accounting close processes, including reconciliations and consolidations.
- Enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency through targeted process improvements.
- Identify and implement enhancements for better utilization of internal systems and financial integrations.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting process documentation.
- Create comprehensive financial reports for senior management, third-party partners, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting standards.
- Manage the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- The ability to manage large and complex data sets effectively.
- Self-motivation and the capability to manage tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
- A process-oriented and results-driven mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in a dynamic startup environment with shifting priorities, public accounting, and familiarity with tools such as NetSuite, SQL, and Google Suite will be advantageous.
