Position Overview:
As a key member of the Finance team at Vouch, the Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in establishing and enhancing foundational accounting processes, controls, and tools necessary for future growth and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily transactions associated with the general ledger, revenue recognition, financial reporting, payables, receivables, and payroll.
  • Lead the monthly accounting close processes, including reconciliations and consolidations.
  • Enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency through targeted process improvements.
  • Identify and implement enhancements for better utilization of internal systems and financial integrations.
  • Develop and maintain robust internal controls and accounting process documentation.
  • Create comprehensive financial reports for senior management, third-party partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and statutory accounting standards.
  • Manage the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
  • CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • The ability to manage large and complex data sets effectively.
  • Self-motivation and the capability to manage tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
  • A process-oriented and results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Experience:
Experience in a dynamic startup environment with shifting priorities, public accounting, and familiarity with tools such as NetSuite, SQL, and Google Suite will be advantageous.
