The Role

The Financial Reporting Manager will be a valued member and asset to our accounting and finance team, delivering on the excellence that Hughes Marino is known for. This position will be based in our beautiful downtown San Diego headquarters.

This role will primarily focus on forecasting, reconciliation of balance sheets, budgeting, monthly close, revenue recognition, variance analysis, and booking journal entries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial functions under the direction of the CFO, including auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, and project control.
  • Prepare reports, projections, and presentation decks based on financial analysis for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models, including revenue recognition and intracompany accounting across multiple legal entities.
  • Manage and refine month-end accounting close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial reports.
  • Partner closely with the CFO to understand detailed drivers of spending, drive improvement and efficiency, and perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support business decisions.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of corporate experience in accounting or financial planning for a small-medium sized company.
  • Polished and professional verbal and written business communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Dynamics, or another enterprise-level program.

Actual compensation will range from $110,000-125,000 and will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
