Santa Ana, California, United States Sterling Search Inc Full time
Sterling Search Inc.
has been exclusively retained to recruit the new Chief Operations Executive for Mary's Path.

Mary's Path is a nationally accredited Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program facility for pregnant and parenting youth, ages 12-21 from the foster care system. A significant percentage of Mary's Path's residents are survivors of trauma and exploitation. The ongoing challenges of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in Southern California highlight the critical need for their programs and services.
  • We are one of only four residences in California dedicated to serving pregnant and parenting teens from the foster care system.
  • We are a fully licensed and nationally accredited Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP).
  • Many of our residents have experienced instability in both foster and family homes, often seeking refuge to ensure care for themselves and their children.
  • We provide more than just shelter; we foster dignity, self-sufficiency, and hope.
  • We empower young mothers to take charge of their lives and build thriving families.
The Impact

In recent years, Mary's Path has made significant strides in supporting young mothers and their children:
  • Served numerous teen mothers and infants
  • Facilitated high school graduation for several students through our on-site educational program
  • Assisted young mothers in securing employment through job readiness services.
  • Supported a college enrollee, marking a milestone as the first in her family to pursue higher education.
Many young mothers have successfully transitioned to independent living and connected with ongoing support services.

The Opportunity

Under the leadership of CEO Jill Dominguez, Mary's Path has experienced remarkable growth, evolving into a fully operational residential and mental health treatment facility. With extensive nonprofit experience, Jill has significantly increased the organization's budget and assets.

As the Chief Operations Executive, you will collaborate with the CEO to shape and implement the organizational vision, operational strategy, and programmatic initiatives for Mary's Path. This role encompasses oversight of both clinical and residential operations, human resources, and quality assurance, all through a trauma-informed lens. Your direct reports will include the Head of Service/Clinical Director, Operations Director, Human Resources Manager, and Quality Assurance Manager.

Key Responsibilities
