The role of the Electronics Assembly Technician involves a variety of essential tasks aimed at producing high-quality electronic products through manual assembly techniques.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Execute manual assembly processes including stuffing, hand assembly, mechanical assembly, and soldering (both lead and lead-free).
- Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to workmanship standards.
- Perform testing on electronic assemblies to verify functionality.
- Adhere to quality policies and procedures throughout the assembly process.
- Meet efficiency and utilization standards in all tasks performed.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives, actively seeking opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency.
- Assemble products as directed by the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Contribute positively to team dynamics, demonstrating enthusiasm and reliability.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Participate in problem-solving activities and communicate effectively with team members.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position requires on-site presence, and attendance is crucial to fulfilling job responsibilities.
SUPERVISORY ROLE: This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS:To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the electronics sector is necessary.
Candidates should possess:
- Proficiency in reading, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and comprehension of internal documentation.
- Basic mathematical skills for performing calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- The ability to interpret performance graphs and assess product quality based on written specifications.
- Capability to perform basic data entry tasks.
- Successful completion of the IPC Component Identification course.
- Passing score on the IPC Workmanship standards examination.
This position may involve varying physical demands, including:
- Seated or standing work based on the workstation.
- Occasional standing and walking.
- Frequent use of hands for handling and reaching, with the ability to lift and move items up to 10 pounds.
VISION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have the ability to perform close and distant vision tasks, including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
