About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team at Jobot. As a seasoned attorney with a strong background in real estate, trusts and estates, international tax, and tax treaties, you will play a crucial role in providing expert legal advice to our diverse clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Legal Advice: Offer guidance on matters related to trusts and estates, international tax, and tax treaties to our clients.
  • Draft and Review Legal Documents: Prepare and review legal documents, including wills, trusts, promissory notes, operating agreements, and corporate resolutions.
  • Conduct Research and Prepare Client Memorandums: Conduct thorough research and prepare detailed client memorandums on various legal topics.
  • Review Tax Return Filings: Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations by reviewing tax return filings.
  • Meet with Prospective Clients: Meet with prospective clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Pitch to New Clients: Pitch to new clients and contribute to the growth of our firm.
  • Navigate Complex Cross-Border Issues: Advise clients on matters related to inheritance and gifts, and navigate complex cross-border issues.
  • Maintain an Active Bar: Maintain an active Bar in NY and stay updated with the latest legal developments.
  • Collaborate with Other Attorneys: Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctorate Degree: Hold a Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.
  • LLM in Taxation: Possess an LLM in Taxation.
  • Active Bar in NY: Maintain an active Bar in NY.
  • Real Estate Attorney Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years of Real Estate Attorney experience.
  • Cross-Border Experience: Have experience in cross-border issues.
  • Comprehensive Knowledge: Possess comprehensive knowledge of international tax and tax treaties.
  • Excellent Drafting Skills: Have excellent drafting and document review skills.
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to meet with prospective clients and pitch to new clients.
  • Excellent Research Skills: Have excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Be able to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
