Director of Environmental Health and Safety

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Environmental Health and Safety to join our team at Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Promote a zero-injury culture and ensure compliance with all corporate safety program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.
- Conduct risk assessments, training, and coaching to minimize or eliminate injuries and environmental impact.
- Investigate and evaluate root causes of occupational injuries and illnesses, and maintain relevant data to drive strategic program decisions.
- Facilitate the Division Safety Committee and ensure corrective actions are taken for items raised by safety committee members.
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly data metrics to report to onsite operations leadership and corporate leadership.
- BS/BA in Safety, Health, or related science, or a combination of education and experience in the EHS field equivalent to an Associate's Degree and/or 8-10 years' relevant experience.
- Hold the CSP, ASP, CIH, CHMM, OHST, CHST, CSHM, or other recognized EHS credentials, or be willing to secure within 3 years of hire date.
- Working knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations and experience in incident investigation and EHS training.
- Effective and proficient communication and presentation skills, with the ability to lead and/or facilitate team meetings and speak effectively before large groups of employees or customers.
Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits is a family-owned, privately held company with a 50+ year legacy of success. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive work environment, and we offer a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $97,900 - $129,000/yr. plus bonus.
