About the Role

Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to lead our warehouse and distribution operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the workings of various departments, including warehousing, transportation, finance, and administration.
  • Review financial statements and data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Develop and manage operational budgets to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement and manage total inventory management systems to ensure compliance with receiving and inventory control procedures.
  • Develop and recommend strategies to improve financial performance and drive business growth.
  • Improve processes and policies to support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
  • Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing, pricing, and distribution of goods.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity.
  • Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery.
  • Provide technical support where necessary.
  • Monitor, manage, and improve the efficiency of support services.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
  • Implement and manage operational plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator's license and the ability to obtain and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws.
  • Experience in wholesale or operational management or other related industries.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP system or similar system.
