Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Chief Medical Officer - Primary Care Specialist to join our leadership team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to medical providers, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and best practices.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will bring a strong commitment to health equity, a passion for integrated care, and a proven ability to lead diverse teams in a FQHC or similar setting. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical leadership and supervision to medical providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants
  • Implementing evidence-based clinical protocols, workflows, and guidelines to improve patient outcomes
  • Conducting performance evaluations for medical providers, providing constructive feedback, mentoring, and support to promote professional development
  • Addressing clinical performance issues in collaboration with the CMO and HR team to ensure quality care delivery
  • Dedicating approximately 60% of your time to direct patient care, delivering comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services to diverse populations
  • Serving as a clinical resource for providers by managing complex patient cases and providing second opinions as needed
  • Championing a team-based care model, collaborating with behavioral health, dental, and pharmacy teams to deliver integrated care

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related primary care specialty
  • Unrestricted Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one prior to employment
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Experience in an FQHC, community health center, or comparable setting is strongly preferred
